Accepted an offer after 11 months - 11 months and counting

After 11 months I accepted a job as a teaching assistant. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. Any advice for starting over?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
