Accepted an offer after 10 months after 17 years as a line cook

I start on Monday after a long search. I worked as a line cook before this. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. Any advice for starting over?

That is wonderful news. Keep applying for a little while if you have not signed, it is a good habit.
