Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?, retail manager here

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a retail manager. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Who has switched fields?

Talk to people in the field you are considering. Two coffee chats changed my mind about one option.

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
