Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?, paralegal here

Three companies in Buffalo cut staff in the same month. I worked as a paralegal before this. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Who has switched fields?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
