Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? (Omaha)

Bjorn Alvarado · 2026-07-26T09:00:28.883Z

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a software tester. I worked as a software tester before this. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Which areas are hiring?

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
