Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?, nurse's aide here

Three companies in Albuquerque cut staff in the same month. I am in Albuquerque, in case local advice matters. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
