Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?, line cook here

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a line cook. I am in Tucson, in case local advice matters. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
