Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? (Jacksonville)

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a janitorial supervisor. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
