Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? - first time posting

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a paralegal. Any experience at all would help. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Which areas are hiring?

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
