Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?, customer-service rep here

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
