Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?, customer-service rep here

Three companies in Albuquerque cut staff in the same month. It has been a long 24 weeks. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
