Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 9 years as an accounts payable clerk

Three companies in Toledo cut staff in the same month. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Who has switched fields?

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
