Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 8 years as a marketing coordinator

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a marketing coordinator. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
