Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 6 years as a dental hygienist

Three companies in Toledo cut staff in the same month. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
