Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 4 years as a pharmacy technician

Three companies in Raleigh cut staff in the same month. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
