Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 17 years as a warehouse supervisor

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Who has switched fields?

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.
