Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 13 years as a forklift operator

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Who has switched fields?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
