Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 13 years as a dental hygienist

Three companies in Salt Lake City cut staff in the same month. Any experience at all would help. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
