Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? after 12 years as a retail manager

Dahlia Nystrom · 2026-06-20T13:15:17.419Z

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Which areas are hiring?

Talk to people in the field you are considering. Two coffee chats changed my mind about one option.
