Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? - 4 months and counting

Three companies in Tulsa cut staff in the same month. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
