Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?

Three companies in Minneapolis cut staff in the same month. It has been a long 7 weeks. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
