Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields?

Three companies in Tampa cut staff in the same month. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
