Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? - 20 weeks in

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Which areas are hiring?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
