Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? - 14 weeks in

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a forklift operator. I am in Denver, in case local advice matters. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
