Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? - 13 months and counting

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
