Whole sector shrinking, should I change fields? - 12 months and counting

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a dental hygienist. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere.

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
