When does my employer coverage actually end? after 17 years as a medical assistant

HR said my health plan continues for a bit and I do not understand how. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I do not want to be surprised by a bill. Did coverage match what HR said?

Ask HR to confirm the exact date in writing. I also called the insurance company to double-check.
