What do I say about why I left my last job?

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I also do not want to seem like a risk.

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
