What do I say about why I left my last job?

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have been practising in the mirror. Do they ask follow-ups?

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
