What do I say about why I left my last job? - 24 weeks in

I have an interview next week and I am unsure how to explain why I left my last job as a hotel front-desk agent. I am in St. Louis, in case local advice matters. I have been practising in the mirror. Do they ask follow-ups?

I keep it to two sentences: the company cut my team, and here is what I am proud of and what I am looking for next.

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.
