Unemployment ran out before I found work - what worked for you?

My unemployment benefits end in 23 weeks and I have not found work as a line cook. I am in Honolulu, in case local advice matters. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies.

Ask your state agency about any extended programmes. Mine did not advertise them, but they existed.
