Unemployment ran out before I found work - first time posting

The claim window is closing and I am worried about bills. I worked as an IT help-desk technician before this. I have savings for about a month. Where did you get help with bills?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
