Unemployment ran out before I found work - any advice?

The claim window is closing and I am worried about bills. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have savings for about a month. What did you do after benefits ran out?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
