Unemployment ran out before I found work - any advice?

My unemployment benefits end in 17 weeks and I have not found work as a graphic designer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. Did you find short-term work?

Ask your state agency about any extended programmes. Mine did not advertise them, but they existed.
