Unemployment ran out before I found work - any advice?

My unemployment benefits end in 24 weeks and I have not found work as an administrative assistant. I am willing to take a temporary job. What did you do after benefits ran out?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
