Unemployment ran out before I found work - any advice?

My unemployment benefits end in 24 weeks and I have not found work as a call-centre agent. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. Did you find short-term work?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
