Unemployment ran out before I found work - any advice?

The claim window is closing and I am worried about bills. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. What did you do after benefits ran out?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
