Unemployment ran out before I found work after 8 years as an accounts payable clerk

My unemployment benefits end in 17 weeks and I have not found work as an accounts payable clerk. I am in Cincinnati, in case local advice matters. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. What did you do after benefits ran out?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
