Unemployment ran out before I found work - 9 months and counting

My unemployment benefits end in 4 weeks and I have not found work as a mechanic. It has been a long 4 weeks. I am willing to take a temporary job. What did you do after benefits ran out?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
