Trimming expenses while I search - what worked for you?

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an electrician's helper. Thank you in advance. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $200 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
