Trimming expenses while I search

We are a household of 12 and need to cut costs quickly. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $500 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
