Trimming expenses while I search, customer-service rep here

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a customer-service rep. Any experience at all would help. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
