Trimming expenses while I search - any advice?

We are a household of 14 and need to cut costs quickly. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
