Trimming expenses while I search after 17 years as a store manager

I have 4 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a store manager. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $200 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
