Trimming expenses while I search

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. I am in Knoxville, in case local advice matters. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $450 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
