Telling my partner I lost my job (Wichita)

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a line cook. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet.

Shame is common after a layoff even when it is not your fault. Saying it out loud to one person first helped me.

Do not wait until a bill surprises them. The longer it goes, the harder it gets.
