Telling my partner I lost my job (update)

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a store manager. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. How did you handle it?

I told my partner the same evening with a simple plan: what happened, what I was doing and what I needed. It was a relief.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
