Telling my partner I lost my job (update)

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as an insurance claims processor. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
