Telling my partner I lost my job (update)

I was laid off 18 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. It has been a long 18 weeks. I want a plan before I speak.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Shame is common after a layoff even when it is not your fault. Saying it out loud to one person first helped me.
