Telling my partner I lost my job (Pittsburgh)

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a mechanic. It has been weighing on me all week. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. How did you handle it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
